remember last week when i posted about the film in the mood for love? these are images from it’s “sequel” 2046. story-wise i believe i enjoyed the former more, but 2046 is still visually just as stunning.
does anyone have any other chinese film suggestions as good as these? i will definitely follow wong kar wai in the future more (though i’ve seen my blueberry nights and that was horrible, imo, and not worth anyone’s time.) but his art direction, styling, cinematography, actors, etc. are all fabulous. i just think his pacing is a bit slow, but if you are into visual films, i would highly recommend.

I’m new to your blog but think it’s great. A great Wong Kar Wai movie is his 1994 film Chung King Express, which also stars Faye Wong. Hope you like this recommendation! Love your choices in film!
