cecil beaton is a genius, is he not? not only did he take famous (and stunning) photographs from the likes of audrey hepburn and marilyn monroe, but he also designed the sets and costumes for films like my fair lady and gigi.
i think i’m starting to understand his style. floral prints, bold colours, victorian details, and feminine touches. lovely lovely. i thoroughly enjoyed his art direction from gigi and wanted to share some favourites…

i’ve come across the photography of nick scott on several blogs and i really like his style and subjects. so romantic and hazy and dusty in a way. the light is always lovely and these photos seem to take you to a secret place almost…
these photos and the following film are from his “one fine day” shoot, but i highly highly highly recommend looking at his other shoots as well. this one just really caught my eye, as well as a shoot called “and all that jazz” but i couldn’t find higher quality images of. enjoy!

it’s a funny thing, my obsession with coats in the midst of summer… i suppose i’m just preparing, that’s all. i adore adore adore this photoshoot for glamour uk. the coats are lovely enough as is, but the settings, colors, and styling are just dreamy.

i’m not one to really post about personal matters or to post about babies for that fact, but perhaps i’m a bit bias here because lilly is the newest addition to my family as my 2nd cousin. These pictures of her just melt my heart and i thought were worthy of the world to see. i adore the colours and how angelic they are. piscee studio did a fabulous job with lilly’s photos and i thought set a great example for some newborn pics. much inspiration here.
