i watched this lookbook film several months ago and every now and then my mind drifts back to it. described as a hitchcock-inspired short, i really love how quiet and simple and pale everything is. not to mention jason schwartzman provides the music. simply lovely.

okay, okay. i know gretchen jones kind of got a bad rap on project runway. but even if i might not agree with her team-member skills, i’ve still secretly always loved her style. it’s urban meets romantic, southwestern meets feminine, and playful with a mix of hard and soft. i was really happy to see one of my favourite blogs, design*sponge, do a sneak peek on her brooklyn apartment.
i love the warm and cool wall colours, the textured scarves on display, and the mixture of patterns and prints.

my friend elizabeth told me about this short and i thought it was sweet. my own thoughts of first love lingered along with the music and images. it’s such an innocent and dreamlike subject isn’t it? i have a very specific memory of a boy and i in my car with the seats down and us looking through the sunroof at the stars and moon, listening to sigur ros. i wouldn’t change that memory for a second, and at the same time i’d give anything to live it differently all over again. funny, isn’t it?
