upon several trips to le bon marché one section always tends to stop me in my tracks and require every second of my attention until i have fully assessed all details of the collection. that would be RED valentino. a few years ago when i worked on ugly betty i had to visit the valentino showroom once to pick up a dress and i remember gasping when the doors of the elevator opened. it was like a winter wonderland of romance. *sigh*
here are some of my favourites from the fall/winter 2012 and spring/summer 2013 collections. i couldn’t agree more with the fairy-tale backgrounds.

how fabulous is that daisy print dress? it was surely designed for chuck from pushing daisies…

i was certainly more impressed with music from this year than lasts. especially with a few albums that i thought were extremely solid from start to finish, examples being no doubt’s “push and shove” and bat for lashes “the haunted man.”
i’m not sure if i’ll ever stop loving pastels and tulle and frilly things. all of these clothing pieces for this glamour france photoshoot are just so girly and fun but with a hint of class and sophistication. i wouldn’t mind having all of these in my closet…

in love with erin fetherston’s collection here. the long flowing dresses, the floral prints, the pinks and purples and golds. gosh, i would wear every single one of these pieces.
bonjour 2012!
