oh annie, you fill my heart with such joy. i really adore her eccentricness and the fact that she doesn’t care what others think. i like that annie thinks about herself before others but in a non-selfish way. besides, isn’t the film all about wanting to share your life with someone else but realizing that maybe your own needs should come first?
i can also relate to alvy (allen) though since he’s constantly asking, “what’s the point?” since we’ll all cest to exist anyway but learning to experience as many relationships and moments possible and just enjoy them simply for what they are, because though nothing is truly permanent, what you learn from those experiences will shape you and stay with you forever.
plus the film is worth it for annie’s wardrobe and the lobster scene alone. annie hall, truly a classic.
