(via possumbane)
tis the season to be merry.
how were your holidays my loves?
i do apologize for not having blogged, but i took a mini break back home to tennessee (where internet connections do not exist.) i do feel slightly bad, but it seems as if most bloggers have done the same.
my holiday was (mostly) peaceful. the 12 hour drive down was actually quite lovely. i don’t have my car here in new york city, and the very act of driving with music playing and watching the colours of the sky change is so completely wonderful after not having it for 6 months. i honestly could have stayed in the car longer.
christmas day had beautiful snow flurries. which is mostly all i ever dream of on christmas. in the words of anne sexton,
“i am younger each year at the first snow. when i see it, suddenly, in the air, all little and white and moving; then i am in love again and very young and i believe everything.”
while i was gone it seems as if new york city got the snow storm of the century, so i would rather not talk about my drive back to the city, as this blog is a place for only happy thoughts.
i will talk about gifts however. what did you get?!?!?! i am always on the lookout for new and marvelous things.
upon my favourite gifts were:
a winter coat (but a real one, for skiers/new yorkers. ha!)
a barbie calendar and stationary.
tickets from miss alicia to see the new york city ballet performance of swan lake!!!!!
um….. best gifts ever?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
there’s no grinch-ness coming from me, that’s for sure!!!!!!!!!
i hope your holiday was just as merry as mine!
