the colours. the cut. the textured background. the pearl. the lady.
audrey is so lovely and has to inspire every women in some small (or large) way. i really adored the audrey layout in this month’s matchbook magazine (which is more than smashing, btw!)
yes, i believe an audrey lifestyle would be more than fitting, no?

days off are rare for me to come by so i try to use them the best i can to regain my strength, inspiration, and clean the house, of course!
it’s so nice not to spend your day off going to the grocery store or taking your car to the shop or doing absolutely nothing at home! it’s nice to be relaxed and self focused and remember who you are and what your goals are. I’ve found today to be consumed with this:
on the page: are you a jackie or a marilyn? by pamela keogh (which i’ve come to find that i’m both, but a maybe bit more on the marilyn side… ) the gospel according to coco chanel by karen karbo, and the december issue of matchbook magazine.
on the stereo: josephine baker, eartha kitt, and rosemary clooney
on the screen: some like it hot, the red shoes, and sabrina

so i suppose it’s official that my favourite part of matchbook magazine is their great women reimagined for a new age section. in their latest issue (#7) they dream that frida kahlo would sport long, flowy skirts, bright coloured clutches, and spunky makeup.

god bless matchbook’s tumblr. they lead me to the most lovely of things. such as these wedding invitations from oh so beautiful paper.
i am lovestruck by the clear envelopes, the colourful stamps, the ocean blue marbled paper, and the cream lace for delicacy.
